Catherine McNamara

I am delighted to be the Deputy Head of this lovely school. Prior to coming to Pope Paul in 2016, I have worked in a range of schools in both North and East London.

Having grown up in North London, I attended St Michael’s Grammar School and was also one of the first sixth form students to study one of my A-Levels at FCHS (Finchley Catholic High School). I did my teaching degree in Maths and Education at St Mary’s College, Strawberry Hill and returned there to complete my Masters in 2019.

As Deputy Head, I enjoy working closely with Mrs Heymoz and the wonderful staff here at our school to improve the experiences and learning for our children. I take great pride in the progress and development of all children and believe a child’s experience in school can leave them with strong impressions and a valuable foundation for their future.

I truly believe that each individual should be able to reach their full potential with the right amount of support and guidance, particularly with the critical partnership of the home, school and parish.

I am extremely proud and privileged to serve as an Associate Governor at this school and am keen to support Pope Paul School grow and go from strength to strength.
